Small Pony Flat Race
For small ponies (under 12.2 hands). About 2 furlongs on the dirt.

Large Pony Flat Race
For large ponies (over 13.2h, but not exceeding 14.2h). No more than 4 furlongs on the dirt.

Medium Pony Flat Race
For medium ponies (12.2h -13.2h), About 2 ½ furlongs on the dirt.

Shetland Pony Flat Race
Restricted to foundation type Shetland Ponies, no more than 2 furlongs on the dirt. Rider size appropriate for mount.

ALL PONIES/RIDER MUST BE PREAPPROVED BY USPR before being permitted to start in ANY RACE. Even if pony has run without rider before. Please see GENERAL CONDITIONS and be sure your pony is at least 5 years old, etc.

ALL RACE TRACK RACES require a Health Certificate. If you got a Health Cert for the races at Timonium, that will work at Laurel as well. There will be a VET CHECK. Time TBD. Most races will run after 10:30AM, but before the first TB Race. A few will run in between the TB races.

I understand ALL RIDER/PONY entries in flat races must be approved by USPR. Additionally ALL lead line entries must be suitable for lead line, well behaved, and acceptable to USPR.

I understand that I will only. be allowed to compete if I have an approved helmet, safety vest, girth, neck strop, safety stirrups, paid entry and a signed release.

I understand the entry fee of $35 must be paid before this entry is accepted.
